Mull Graham
Being moved by beauty and awe is an experience that I cherish deeply, so when I began writing songs I knew that I needed to write melodies that generated these emotions coupled with an objective to make the kind of music that I wasn’t hearing from my influences at the time such as Jessica Pratt, Connie Converse, and Angel Olsen. I think for me beauty and awe best intersect with a twinge of melancholy and you’ll find that many of my lyrics cover melancholic topics such as nostalgia for the past, heartache, and caring for those who may not respond to you with the love you deserve. The songs are meditative, they set you down gently into the present and invite you to open your heart. This is what awe does to us: it gives us the opportunity to soften, to love, to cherish, to experience gratitude, be fulfilled & encouraged, and to know that we are not alone.

Deep Listening® with Julianna Eidle...
Deep Listening® is a sonic awareness methodology developed by composer/performer, writer, and humanitarian Pauline Oliveros in the 1970s. The practice seeks to heighten our awareness of sound in all facets of life through the core modalities of Listening, Bodywork, and Dreaming. Julianna Eidle and Owen Hopper have both completed training in the practice through the Center for Deep Listening and hope to create a holding space for people to gather, listen, and explore the practice. They will not be “teaching,” but rather guiding participants through a number of 'text scores' by Oliveros and others.
